On a sunny sunday afternoon, after Herren 2 in NLA played, GC NLB faced Rotweiss for an intense game. The first quarter we needed to find our structure but we finished it strong.
The team got a bit lost in the 2nd quarter when Rotweiss scored their first goal. But we entered the break positively that we could turn this around. After a motivational talk by our coach Pat, we entered the second half a bit more determined but that didn’t stop Rotweiss from scoring a second goal from a corner. Soon after on a confusing play they made their third goal.
In the short break before the last quarter Pat reminded us to fight for it and we all started the last quarter with a clean sheet. It did show because it made us score our only goal of the game, after a beautiful play together. It showed us that if we fight for it, we do get rewarded, it was just unfortunate that it was so late in the game to turn it around.
GC NLB continues to grow as a team and is looking forward to face Lausanne next week on their pitch. Final score 1-3, better luck next time.
