Grasshopper Club Zürich - Basler Hockey Club (0:1)
Last Sunday, the ladies of GC Zurich faced the team from Basel. It was an exciting and close game right from the start, which kept the spectators enthralled until the last minute.
Unfortunately, the women from Zurich started the game a little sleepy and conceded an early goal in the first quarter. This early 0:1 put the team under pressure, but instead of being discouraged, the players found their rhythm again and got stronger and stronger as the game progressed.
In the final quarter in particular, the ladies of GC Zurich created numerous chances, including several penalty corners, but were unable to convert them into goals. However, the Basel defense proved to be extremely robust and hardly allowed any gaps, which posed a major challenge for GC.
Despite their committed play and numerous opportunities, the ladies of GC were unable to turn the game around. As a result, the game ended in an unfortunate 1:0 for Basel.
Even though the frustration is great, we are now trying to focus on the next game and come back even stronger.
