SHC - GCZ --- 2:1
We had a difficult start to the game against Genève Servette Hockey Club. In the first quarter, we struggled to find our structure and were a little too slow in our play. Servette took advantage of this and scored the opening goal.
In the second quarter, we started to find our structure and played with more confidence. After a long ball found its way into the circle, Paula reacted quickly and scored to bring us back into the game. Unfortunately, Servette managed to score another goal before the end of the quarter.
The third and fourth quarters showed a motivated and determined GCZ team. We had some good attacking actions and created several promising moments. Defensively, we were under pressure from a number of short corners, but Thalia made some very strong saves in goal and she and Marloes with a great goal line clearance kept us in the game.
Overall, we showed a good reaction after a slow start and kept fighting until the final whistle. There are definitely things we can improve, but the team showed motivation, fighting spirit, and some very good moments throughout the second half.
