Today we faced Lausanne on an early morning with less-than-ideal starting conditions. With our coach missing, no goalkeeper and only one sub, we definitely had a few challenges to overcome. Luckily, Lausanne kindly lent us a goalkeeper kit, and Selene stepped up and saved the team by defending the goal heroically.
With the sun getting hotter and only one sub to rely on, we fought as hard as we could and kept going until the final whistle. We had a couple of good chances ourselves, but unfortunately couldn’t find the back of the net. At the other end, we defended a lot of chances from Lausanne, but couldn’t stop them all. To be fair, Lausanne scored some beautiful goals!
The scoreline may not have been in our favour, but we showed a lot of fighting spirit and had fun out there. We’re heading home with happy faces and plenty to take away from the game. A big thank you to Lausanne for lending us the goalie kit, and especially to Selene for stepping into goal!
