We started our day early to travel to Lausanne, which was challenging for some after the team event the day before. With Lausanne sitting at the top of the league table, we knew we would be facing a strong team.
At the beginning of the match, we were a little lost, especially with the rain pouring throughout the entire game. After Lausanne scored the first and only goal in the first quarter, we fought for every ball until the very last minute. They earned numerous short corners, but our defense stood strong and managed to keep the score at 1–0. We ran, tackled, pushed, and defended our goal with everything we had.
This game also marked our first card of the season, although only after Pat asked for “card-able tackles”. Despite the result, the team showed determination, resilience, and great fighting spirit throughout the match.
