Today GC began the second round of the tournament, playing at home against the newly promoted Lausanne team.
The match opened quickly with Pascal's drag flick goal for 1-0 with the first penalty corner of the match. This was followed by a goal from Salis, one from Harte, two from Louis and another two drag flick goals from Pascal, to reach half-time with a resounding 7-0 lead. The first half was dominated by GC, with some good attacks from Lausanne, including a shot that hit the post and a couple of good saves by goalkeeper Philip.
In the second half, the pace of the match slowed down, but GC maintained their dominance. The match continued with a goal from Artur, a deflected goal from Benjamin after a drag from Creg, and closed with a second goal from Harte for a final score of 10-0.
The match was dynamic and served to demonstrate the team's efficiency in attack and strength in defence. This is an important step in continuing on the path towards the championship goals.
