This Sunday's match against Black Boys HC from Geneva was an interesting test for GCZ, who found themselves missing some key players. Despite this setback, the team managed to build a solid structure on the field, guided by their interim captain, Benjamin Eddy.
GCZ started the game with promise, creating several chances early on, but struggled to convert them into goals. However, their fortunes changed in the second quarter when Artur von Ruffer capitalized on an opportunity, assisted by Nahuel Pupo Salis, to put GCZ in the lead.
Just before halftime, Pupo Salis extended the lead with a well placed ball coming from a well-timed pass from Luciano Ferrario.
The beginning of the second half saw GCZ scoring again to increase the difference. This time with a very nice ball placed by Captain Benjamin into the circle that was deflected by Artur to make a very nice goal.
Unfortunately, Black Boys HC managed to make their way back into the game, narrowing the deficit with a successful stroke.
As the final quarter unfolded, GCZ's teamwork was shown, culminating in a perfect sequence of passes that earned them a stroke, eventually converted into a goal by Nahuel Pupo Salis, securing the win.
With these three points, GCZ finds themselves in a promising position heading into the upcoming Final Four, holding onto second place in the league standings, with just one point behind the current leaders, RWW.
