Hockey Club - Olten Grasshopper Club Zürich --- 2:3
A beautiful sunny October morning the GC NLB ladies team left Zurich on a morning train to play the first of three GC matches taking place in Olten.
GC started off very strong in the first quarter with a rebound goal from Lea Hamm, which kept the motivation high for the rest of the first quarter.
GC ran and fought a lot during the second and third quarter. Goalkeeper Thalia Ender did an amazing job keeping out some short corners and there was a need to reset the structure to keep the game up. The team received some extra coaching support from Fabio Landtwing who was able to provide some valuable tips for the defense.
The fourth quarter started with a lot of energy again, GC’s Delfine scored the second goal. Unfortunately, Olten scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes leaving it really tight for the win. Nina saved the match by scoring 3 minutes before the end of the forth quarter with an amazing assist from Lea Hamm.
After the first win of the season the GC’s NLB ladies team could relax and enjoy a sunny afternoon in Olten watching the GC NLA Ladies and GC Men play.
