Grasshopper Club Zürich - Red Sox Zürich --- 2:4
After a sunny day filled with hockey at our pitch in Hardhof, the GC NLB ladies team played the last match of the day against Red Sox.
GC started off strong with a backhand goal from Anita Pezzolesi within the first minutes of the match, which kept the motivation high for the rest of the first quarter.
After some structural mistakes, Red Sox scored a goal on the second post towards the end of the second quarter, which left both teams tied into the half time.
After the half time talk with coach Patt, GC started the third quarter strong, but due to a couple of errors, Red Sox scored its second goal through a penalty corner. Their third one came not long after, with a successful penalty stroke.
The fourth quarter found GC quite defeated, but the team managed to score a second time with an amazing assist from Lena Brennwald to Anita Pezzolesi, who deflected a high ball into the goal. Unfortunately, Red Sox scored its fourth and last goal with a play that ended in the second post.
GC’s newest team is excited to keep improving to bring great hockey into the pitch this season.
