GC2 started the game day at Utogrund with a encouraged match against RWW2. We changed the known system because of short staff and everyone was very focused on this variation. We couldn’t help RWW scoring twice but still we also had our chances. At the end of the first half we finally had our moment with a pass combination of Viola and Anne Sofie leading to the long-awaited goal by Anne Sofie. In the second half we kept our focus, ran and fought as hard as we could but the game ended with 1:3. Still it was a lot of fun fighting for each other and we‘ll try to keep up that spirit for the second match.
HC Wettingen - Grasshopper Club Zürich 2 --- 4:1
Next match, new coach and fully motivated we started against HC Wettingen. We began strong and that ultimately led to some chances which we did not use to score. The match got a bit chaotic and HC Wettingen used this to score 2 goals in the first half of the game.
In the second half we came back into the game, which led to a goal from Viola after a short corner. Unfortunately HC Wettingen managed to score another 2 goals and the game ended 1-4. Although this loss, everybody had a lot of fun on the pitch and we gave our audience some nice play.
