GC Damen: A real fight

Grasshopper Club Zürich - Olten HC –-- 1:2

This Sunday we arrived at our home pitch for the game against HC Olten. And for this second game in the season we were determined to give our best, and to show Olten that we can play much better than in our last game against Luzern.

And it worked. In the first half our team spirit was great, we fought for every ball, showed good teamwork  and were able to start several counter attacks. After an unlucky goal in the second quarter, we nearly managed to score out of a short corner. And we kept the spirit up, even though we were running a lot, and Olten had more substitutes.

The second half of the game started with many corners against us and we got one more goal against us. But we kept fighting. Several times we were in front of the goal. For some minutes we were playing against 10 players from Olten because of a green card. Then Vera made a fabulous goal through a seven meter! We fought on and even had a short corner after the final whistle, but unfortunately we could not score another goal. So the match finished with 2:1 for Olten.
