Although it was a very early start (meet at 7.45 am to play at 9 am on a Sunday!), the ladies all came, ready & awake really wanting to win this game.
We started off really well putting a lot of pressure on Red Sox and basically camping in their circle. Unfortunately, this pressure did not yet result in a goal but we kept pushing on and eventually Tanja scored through a short corner variation during the first quarter.
As soon as the second quarter started, Red Sox scored due to a slight lack of concentration by us and we went into the half time break 1-1.
We were dominating the game and clearly wanted to win, so we continued to push hard going forward & eventually got the winning goal through a Tanja and Luntu combination passing.
It's great to record our 2nd win of the season and it definitely helped that we had so many players there today and support from both coaches and Wendela.
Hop GC....we won the Zurich derby !!!!
