GC Ladies with new goalie in Geneva are beaten (SHC - GC 7:0)

The third match of this season took place in Geneva. With 13 players and no coach we managed to give each other instructions and support to play. As Jose’s away, Tilia Schneider made her debut as our goalie, and she was already tested in the first minutes. Unfortunately a weak ball from Servette managed to sneak into the goal, 0:1.

The second and third goal came from short corners right at the beginning of the second quarter, and within a few minutes the 0:4 was set.

The second half found us tired, trying to run after 11 enthusiastic teenagers, but after a concentrated break talk, we organized the defense and made everything more complicated for the opposition team. In the middle of the 3rd quarter we got two more goals (0:6).

During the last quarter we held our goal with Tilia getting more confidence into her skills and defending 3 short corners from which only one hard ball entered. This was the end of the last quarter.

We got defeated 0:7 and it was time to shower and return home. On the way back, we managed to overpass our frustration thanks to some nice “quiche” that Moritz (Sabine’s boyfriend) cooked for us.
