Early on Saturday morning, we set off for Geneva with the U12 Girls.
The „Kinderabteil" was “taken over” by the team, with card games, hide and seek and races happening on a loop for three hours until we arrived in the city that would host the tournament.
Once at the Stade de Richemont, we began our first challenge against our peers from Lucerne. We gradually adapted to the game but found opportunities to score. It was fun and inspiring to achieve a 5-3 victory, with a special contribution from our captain Leni, who scored five times.
Then we faced a difficult task against Veyrier HC. The match was more focused on defence but no less motivating for us to continue growing. It inspired us with a spirit of fighting and defensive dedication, a great learning experience in our team-building process.
Around 4 p.m., we set off back home, full of learnings and with our first victory under our belts.
The return trip was even more fun, discovering and strengthening friendships, playing cards, learning new languages, and enjoying some well-deserved sweets to end a day full of hockey, learning, fun, and an indescribable feeling that this team will continue to grow on and off the field. (Franco)
